• Artistic Statement

Hello, my name is Hallie Grace Davis, and I'm an aspiring Costume Designer with a sub-interest in Construction/Crafts and Wardrobe. The first time I started costume designing was in the fourth grade during a school play. I would continue to do sketches, and by my senior year of high school, I was offered the position of costume designer for the school musical. This would stir me to continue my passion into college at Texas State University, where I would pursue my BFA in Technical Theater with a focus in Costumes. My time spent at TXST has allowed me to explore design techniques, research, wardrobe, and construction/crafts. I've been able to work with a multitude of people in both school and the workforce that has allowed me to realize the type of designer and worker I want to be.  I am thoughtful, detailed, well-rounded, and heavily focused on historical and cultural accuracy.
